HOW WE CARE FOR THIS SPACE

Come as you are.
Leave room for others.

We want this to be somewhere you can ask a question without having to put on a brave face first.

Speak from your own experience

What helped your family can be useful to someone else. Explain it as your experience, not as a prescription. Don’t diagnose other members or tell them to change, stop, or withhold medication.

Respect the person behind the post

Families make different choices and live with different realities. Disagree with ideas respectfully. Harassment, discrimination, personal attacks, and shaming have no place here.

Protect your family’s privacy

Posts and comments are public. Share only what you are comfortable having on the open web. Avoid posting identifying medical records, addresses, contact details, or information about another person without their permission. Take particular care with children’s private information.

Keep claims honest

Link to reliable sources when discussing medical research. Make it clear when you are uncertain. We may remove unsupported cure claims, dangerous medical instructions, advertising, and spam.

Help us look after the community

Members can publish immediately after signing in and completing a profile. Use the report option on a post or comment to flag a concern. The site owner can review reports and remove content that breaks these guidelines. Reports are not an emergency service.

Ask for urgent help in the right place

If you or your child may be seriously unwell, contact your medical team or local emergency service. A community discussion cannot provide timely medical assessment.

Thank you for helping build a generous, useful place to talk.
